With my wife being out of town for two weeks, my daughter and I are eating out more than we should. I’ve been maintaining my weight, but, I’ve been eating no-no’s. Tonight, we went to KFC and I had the Mashed Potato Bowl. 1100 calories of pure fat. I guess that’s no different than having a Whopper or Big Mac… Anyhow, I came home, and went for a 17 mile bike ride. I’m tired now!
I’ve been on vacation on a road trip for the last week. Impossible (or at least I gave up) trying to eat well… and because of a busy schedule, it’s been impossible to exercise… and am not looking forward to stepping on the scale tomorrow when I return home.
If you lived to be 150 & never ate buttered bread or cake & ice cream or fried chicken with mashed ‘taters & gravy, would it be worth the journey? I’m a believer in quality of life as well as quantity of life. For me, I don’t know how much I’d rank KFC as “quality” but I do know I love to eat — for instance this weekend’s breakfast of blueberry pancakes (with butter & syrup), bacon, eggs & lots of coffee. Now, that was after 1.5 hours of Vinyasa yoga & a dog walk after. Quality & quanity all around!
WOW! I didn’t realize that there were so many calories in the KFC mashed potato bowl! YIKES!!!
